CELL PHONE FREQUENCIES

GSM: Operates on multiple frequency bands around the world. 900MHz & 1800MHz are used in Europe,Africa,Asia,South America,and Australia.

Be sure your cell phone works on your providers band. Example: T mobile operates on 1900MHz in the USA. Cingular operates on 1900MHz or 850MHz.

DUAL BAND: Works on 900MHz or 1800MHZ. They work most places around the world but, will not work in North America.

TRIBAND: They usually include 900MHz,1800MHz,& 1900MHz band. These phones will work around the world and in North America.

QUAD BAND: Covers all bands.850MHz,900MHz,1800MHz,1900MHz. Quad band will work all over the world with all GSM service providers.

UNLOCKED GSM PHONES: They are not locked to a specific provider. Unlocked phones will work with any GSM provider that is supported by the phones frequency band.
